Report of today :-)
Another day on the sunny island of Kos. Wakes up at 5am to be at boat for work 6:30am to get diesel for the boat. Jeysys such a early morning, even if it is only one hour earlier than usual 6am wake up alarm. Well sometimes even at 5am if the neighbors have early morning fight and screaming is heard through the walls of our donkey stables. The funny thing is that they shout and wake me up so I do my morning routine of a bit of stretching in sun salutation and some light workout too. Funny thing is that after all that screaming for fifteen to thirty minutes then it is silence until I leave for work at 7:45am. I’m speculating that is the usual, morning headache. You know when little guy wakes up the big guy and the small guy says ‘hey, lets get some’ but the woman has headache and scream head off the small guy. At least that is how it sound to me across the wall.
So with barely opened eyes trying to eat breakfast and not to poke eye out with spoon when missing the mouth is some challenge I have to say. Anyhow, few spoons of muesli later and it is time to hit the road on blue lighting aiming for harbor. Obviously we all meet at boat barely awake and trying not to fall of the boat. Diesel filled and we are ready to get back harbor, when the news came. The dive is cancelled as tourists are not well and since we had only four clients and two of them cancelled, we had to cancel the other two too. What a shame as we were up early and everyone is in sleepy mood but during the day is impossible to sleep in the room as it is oven hot with sun baking the flat black roof. Here is the idea for invention, how to cook on ceiling …? Ceiling is so hot in afternoon that if I throw egg on it, it might fry in seconds.
What the feck now, when the work is cancelled…. Well it is official laundry day I guess as the bag of smelly stuff is ready to be washed and make it pretty, clean and fragrant of whatever softener they have in laundry. Well it is nice to have break for a change and some peace as well as in Greece there is lot of loud speaking, some might say shouting. I guess that it is all the sunny nations in Mediterranean, who are more touchy feely and more vocal than some would expect. However one get used to it as longer you stay the easier it gets.
So after the freddo frappe is time to walk a bit and this time I will try get a driving license for big motorbike in Greece as to add some confusion to people checking my documents. Slovak passport, Irish bank and if I get driving license then Greek driving license. What a international mess 😊
