Return to Dublin, for a little while

Yeah landing back in Dublin, sounds like the thing I would love to be back exploring and enjoying the time there. Seems like the first day was too short and kind of fast as I had the F1 driver Marcel with his RS Octavia on Potenza tires so we flu with the wind down to the Glasthule drop the scuba gear for service at Flagship Scuba. Well we’ve got there and just as me being tired from the trip I forgot the check the opening hours so from now I remember forever I guess, that Monday the shop is always closed. Anyhow, the trip at lest lets us catch up on the news and gossips while flying low at M50 back to Swords. Few moments later we were in the house so that I could pick up my winter aka warm clothes for my stay in Sunny Ireland. That is true as the sun was shining and it was unbelievable arrival from Caribbean to Ireland, being welcomed by blue sky and Sun out with twenty degrees Celsia.

Picked up the warm clothes and my special shoes, talk with Pamela a bit since I have not seen her for a while. Nice to catch up with old friends and have talk about anything and nothing to feel welcome like in home. Home is where the people like you and welcome you in their hearts and houses but mostly in the hearts. What a great feeling  and what a great friends to have. Time to drop to house and get some supplies, food and things from BOOTS like shaving things and see the old Mecca in Swords called Pavillions where people worship the God of consumerism.

Looking forward to stay in Dublin and see all the friends, not too many but the right ones and some more than others, like kocka Ada, pal Pat, Michael and family and Brother Fero to mention just few and some from the past, Maruska, Peter and Hanka. All of it randomly “planned” i.e. executed such as Guinness with Pat on the first night with burger at Cock tavern and catch uo on the news.

However the most important part of this trop was to see Sebastian and his Fiancée, (feck sake I’m old fart when my son got engaged) and as much as Lea is part of the family, sorry but I came to see and talk to my son Sebastian as much as the talk is not flowed as I wished. Remembering my “talk” with my own Dad was a quick flashback reminder of what’s goes around comes around and most likely bite ya in the arse. Still happy as Larry when they arrived and being late on the airport to pick up them, was due the drunk Frank who was not his best for reasons that remain off this page “for now at least” but eventually we came and it was not red carpet and scene like from the movies but it was life. Now I do understand my Mom and Dad when I left home, eighteen years old smart like the wisest person in the world not realizing that I was the dumbest person in the world or at least on the platform when we said our good bye. When shit hit the fan and things get tough you know where to come said Mom and Dad being Dad, just said get a girlfriend, world is tough for lone guy. Well now seeing my son there the flashback came back to me and as much I would not win the father of the year or life for that matter, I did understand what they meant as I felt the same in this moment, however we just greeted each other instead of saying good bye.

Few moments later I received the sweets from home as usual,  as I have sweet tooth, well less than before but I have my weak spot for the sweets from childhood and he knows that too. Also the newly achieved diploma from the University, where he graduated was another present with sweet taste that was not given me of course but presented to read and accepted with gratitude and proudness.

Lets get them out of the airport and down to posh south by where they will stay. Before hitting the Air B&B we had a lunch and drink as what is the lunch in Ireland without the drink, especially when sun is shining on blue sky in Ireland in September. Yeah cider for me and some pub grub and we  were trying to get conversation take off, which it did. Well so far so good and short taxi ride to Air B&B, dropping off the luggage and then hop on the DART back to the City. Still like the walk in the streets, watching the trinity college park full of drunk students and tourists taking photos of the streets, but the favorite place is to rest in the St Stephen’s Green   park on such a beautiful sunny day. Well of course few Guiness as the started before dinner is recommend to make sure that belly will get tasty food and we will enjoy the tasty beer. Yamamori here we go, well in a  while not just right now, who wants to be inside is such special and rarely seen event is happening in Dublin. The sun is shining woo hoo .
