Another day in paradise

Well what can I say, sun is shining, people are chatting and coffee is good. Yeah coffee culture is great here and I wish I can speak Greek to be able to have chat with locals. They looking like really great bunch of social animals. Sunday and they are all out dressed and sitting, chatting over the coffee and water. I love this Sunday culture and always seems to find great local coffee spot so that I can observe and enjoy the local culture. The only thing I do not like is that they are smoking but at least we are outside so it is not so bad. See what happens when will visit some night club eventually as I have to experience this part of Greek life too. Firstly need to adapt the spending accordingly to the Greek prices and as they are not so cheap as one would expect. Such a lazy Sunday with a views.

The diving internship is slowly taking off with few customer and few dives. Bit colder that what I would like as 17 degrees is not what I used to dive in but hey it is start of the season. Thank God, I have few pieces of rubber and therefore I can play a Bibendum from Michelin when diving. Three layers of rubber and I feel that I can barely move. Still better that some clients who come up from diving like conductor from old fashion train, when clicking the ticket verification gun but they are using their teeth’s.

Last dive the youngest diver was best spotter as he saw octopus hiding in tiny crevice as we were passing above it. I had looked at it too but I had not seen it, doh. Well cannot have all the fun, while holding the floating dive marker and same time keeping eye on the customers. Will learn that in a while I hope.

Since we are using small boat for sailing at the present, it is a nice as the boat is rocking gently with the waves. This is great treat on the way back when we are all snoozing on the boat. Obviously except captain as he needs to keep eye on the harbor so that we will not finish in Turkey or on some other Greek island. After tidying the boat and equipment, here is time to enjoy me time and relax a bit.

Day off is here and with it is my time to do some cycling exploration of island and more remote areas around mountain. Lots of cyclist here and near my hacienda there is CUBE shop and huge service for bikes. Lot of MAMIL on the road on the bikes that cost not small amount but also lot of young people. Such a cycling island. After the cycling tour is time to relax. This means a short cycle to hot springs at the beach before evening. This spot attract a lot of tourist during the day but after 18:00 the locals are coming in huge numbers. So I’m trying to get there just in time when tourist are leaving and locals are coming to have peaceful relaxation.  What a great place to relax in 40 degrees Celsia  water  while listening to waves crushing on the stone wall protecting this hot spring. When I float there with my head submerged and ears covered in the water I can hear only the sea and fully sign out. No mind, no thoughts, just me floating in the hot salty water, nearly as good as floating tank but not so quiet and dark.

Occasionally the suicidal goats make some noise as they balance on the tiny ledges of the rock above the pool. Amazing how they can hop on the ledges not wider than their hoofs. Last time the dog was chasing them around the cliff and he was barking like mad, while trying to get them out of there. However they just kept still and watching him like ‘what the F&% mate’ not bothered at all. I was just thinking that the dog must be mad to go after them on that cliff but obviously he was used to that. Well another tourist attraction that made them pull the phones and taking photos / video recording of it. I would like to know if they watch those after return home or just delete them to get more space in memory for other photos.

Well nothing more to add at the present except that I was so relaxed that I felt like Nutella spread. Just leisurely cycling back to my hacienda, spread myself out on the bed for good night sleep.
