Thailand here I come.
Thailand here i am again …. Now only for one night at cool hostel Tamsen Café and hostel near the Khao San road what looked like streamliner camper van all made of polished steel. One night for 270 baht not bad price and so close to Lomprayah bus. Luggage dropped and now time to walk and get some food. Pad Thai at the street vendor where we ate previously with Rosa opposite the bar where we drank with Frank and Nook. Then go find the Lomprayah office so I know where to go at 5am in the morning for bus. Back in hostel, having one nonalcoholic drink and read a book before heading to bed.
First at lomprayah office I put my luggage down and waited for the staff open the shop as the line of tourist grew. Bus fully sold out so only bookings are allowed first. Since I have not received my confirmation email I went to front of the line. They cannot find my booking so a bit of commotion but eventually they did. Got my seat at bottom part of the bus and happy with some water and gel went to the bus. I had not took the road from Bangkok previously so this one was long as week before pay day. Finished reading my book halfway to pier I started to chat to the neighbor who’s stopped watching some thing on the phone. We were both divers and he is first time on his own on trip to the Koh Tao for getting his DM cert. We talked and talked that we just found ourselves at the pier getting of the bus. Great bloke with pension from army who decided to explore the world instead of sitting at home in US.
Since I made mistake and told one girl of my surprise trip to Koh Tao, the surprise was gone as she was right next Jordan when I texted her. But to my surprise Jordan was on the pier waiting for me. Well it is nice to meet old pal and also nice to be welcomed on the pier after traveling alone for a while. Nice chat dropped bags down to the Scuba 2 as Usama was on break and walked the streets towards scuba 2 looking at possible accommodations. As we were approaching the Scuba 1, Lady was crossing the road to Zest return the plate after lunch which I used as surprise. She had a great surprise face when saw me on the road calling her. Few hugs later she was happy to see me as I was happy to see her and we agreed that no messages will be sent to Usama. Veenam did not recognized me when I came as my hair was long and my belly big after all that liveaboards gluttony.
The best reaction of them all was Patty who went screaming with Joy and jumped on me like I was a horse. Such a great welcome and this time surprise for me as I was not expecting welcome like that, not from her. But it was really really nice, feeling such warm welcome of never-ending hug. What a amazing people !!! I’m GRATEFUL and THANKFULL for all of them as they are blessing to me.
Usama was like WHAT THE FUCK ! when he saw me as we talked with Lady when she called him to introduce someone to him when I turned on chair. Well those are the moments that took my breath away and will forever stay in my memory.
So since I was looking for accommodation Lady asked Veenam and she was generous to me and gave me nice discount on the price of bed in dorm since the private room was not available. Happy ready to move in I got on salang and dropped my luggage to hostel. One shower and fresh t-shirt later I was ready to meet the friends again.
No need to go into details but we talk a lot , eat a little, dive a bit and played pool a lot. Since Jordan was leaving Koh Tao for good, the leaving party was nice place to meet all the old friends and have catch up with them. Also surprisingly enough Dave, who we dove together at Yonaguni was back at Koh Tao for two moths teaching. As I was there and had time after diving I went to get my bamboo tattoo what I wanted previously. Severn hours, one power cut and one break later the tattoo was completed and my arse happy to be of the seat. The artist was so great that I immediately make booking for next day to complete my Manta tattoo. As the seven hours of tattooing brought me to dinner time, we got some food and met at Nava, where I become nipple man.
It is great that I have time to do nothing at all, sleep as long as I wish and still make in time for my next tattoo. One manta and three hours later I moved to Zest for lunch and since they put HBO on, I stayed and watched whole movie ‘Bucket List’. As the Zest was closing down I received free pain au chocolate since all not sold pastries were given away for free. Now time to see patty on her IDC party as newly certified scuba diving instructor at fishbowl. It was a nice gathering more than a party as everyone was quiet and mostly Thai. However it was nice to see Patty happy and also see Fishbowl empty. Midnight was time to get out as last day on the island should be enjoyed not slept through. Well what I was thinking. Got back to empty dorm as my dorm mate was out I felt into peaceful sleep. That lasted four hours as about four in the morning he came back with trophy.
I believe that good hour was spent giggling, whispering and heavy breathing, more heavy breathing and all sorts of the love making noises. Jeysus, every time she was nearly done he stopped and told her to be quiet. I wish she was done and we can go to sleep but I was kind enough for sake of the m both to let them finish.
What a last night. When we all woke up she just run out of the room like fart from the trousers and he was starting to apologizing to me. Seal was done so no need to apologies, next time invite to share bro as sharing is caring 😊
Got a bike for a day, drove to Jordan’s to help him out with boxes to post office. Before we started any heavy lifting we headed off to Zest for breakfast and coffee for me. Then moved those boxes down to taxi, repacked them at post office and then it was break time for lunch. Used the last day at island to drive around and as I was packing my gear at NAVA I went for lunch and met this photographer chick from Australia. Instagram exchanged and who knows maybe we bump into each other again if it mean to happen.
Last game of pool at Baby Rasta with Dave who came from Sairee to meet me with his friends. We had goon catch up and send photo to Alisha as surprise since she was back in UK. Nice way to finish the visit as Koh Tao.
Morning came and I was once more at Zest for breakfast and coffee with cinnamon roll as way to say good bye. Then got salang, pick my stuff and get back to Scuba Club meet Jordan and Roxy. Left flowers for Veenam as thanks for her generosity with discount on accommodation and diving and walked downs to say good bye to Usama.
After the ferry me, Jordan and Roxy we boarded the private taxi van to Bangkok and hit the road. One food stop and few forking hours later we arrived to Bangkok. One loop around the Jordan hotel later since the driver could not found it at first time we were out of the van. Roxy left in the room, we went to get me a SIM card and Grab taxi to Nook’s house. Arrived at Nook’s house around 22:00 got the keys and crashed into bed.
Bangkok here I’m for a few days again but this time away from the city center. Spend time ‘two forking days’ at Fashion Island planning and booking next stages of my travels in Starbuck due the free wi-fi and proximity of food. Also did the movie day as I went to see three movies in a row. Starting with ‘Bad Boys for Life’ then ‘Ip Man 4’ return to my Wing Chun days and last and the best ‘Dark Waters’ I was frozen like bag of peas at LIDL freezer. Nice short visit to Bangkok this time, with visit to fit center and hospital in that order and some great food later it was time to leave. It would be mistake not to mention my favorite transport in Bangkok SCOOTER TAXI. I love this adrenalin way of travel around Bangkok, brushing your knees with bumpers of cars as navigating traffic jams of Bangkok. Last day at Bangkok I found this nice little park in local area near Don Mueang Airport where only locals were all around, looking at me like on monkey in zoo. Attraction to look at I was, as I was shopping for food with local by pointing with my finger on food I wanted. Tasty last Bangkok dinner. Bye bye Thailand.
