London - Culture day :-)

London here I’m 😊 after the some amount of time the eagle has landed in London Stansted and is moving towards the fresh finest London smog and congestion of traffic as well as to the culture of Shakespeare Globe theatre, what is booked for 2pm woo hoo. I have always wanted to see Shakespeare play in this theatre of his “no royalties to him I assume” so finally got a ticket for Midsummers Night Dream play and cannot wait to see it. Leaving Dublin and its usual grey drizzle sky behind is nothing to brag about but landing in London sunny sky and 20 degrees Celsia is something  to look forward to woo hoo 😊 sun does exist and it even can heat up the air, not just as some feature on the sky in Ireland. Have to say fair thanks to the staff at Dublin airport as when I went to the security check in I cut my finger and bled like a pig. Amazing how much blood is coming from one cut of your finger top. Tried to unpack and put all in the basket for x-ray is not so funny with one hand as you do not wish to spray everyone with your bloody finger like it is some nozzle pumping red stuff into the air. Chap gave me tissue when he sees me and helped me load my basket, without marking the trays with biohazard fluid. I did not thought about it too much but as I approached the scanner with my hand / finger in the air like I’m in school class again or as I’m giving them “a finger” I nearly start laughed, since the chap at security gate did not know what is going on but cop on fast seeing my finger wrapped in  blue tissue and me telling him that I cut myself. Within second of me finishing this sentence his colleague already mentioned that she asked for plaster, what was delivered in seconds, while I was patted away since I did not took off my belt and shoes. Funny sight, guy with pointing finger to the ceiling being patted down as if I have showed him “the Finger” and this was the punishment. Have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this assistance, especially in morning rush hour at security check, what can be stressful and full on so, fair play to the security staff. Bandaged and sticking my finger proudly up, pointing on celling or looking for teacher attention I have cruised to gate 103 reading those funny sayings on corridor leading to Ryanair gates in land far far away. “Your shingles are like GPS, showing you furniture” was one I laughed at most. After some waiting at gate I had get into line for check in as everyone else, even while the lane was not there yet. On the board I sat down realizing that I parked my lovely bony ass to seat 14A instead of 12A and therefore the airhostess has to step in with slight stressful look on the face asking us for the boarding passes to check up as one gal was left standing and considering her not bad behind, it did good to her glutes.  Eventually she was directed to my seat in the row 14 what I took by mistake “that can happen when you loose  blood” but she was so considerate or afraid that she decided to take my original seat 12A and when she parked front of me the lady beside me pointed out to her that she suppose to be one more aisle in front. She turned around and mentioned that she is in correct seat as….here come the lesson for today ! There is no aisle 13 on Ryanair planes !!!!

Upon arriving we were checked by police for passport, what was a bit shocking for every passenger as the temporary check point was consisting from one sign / desk and two police officers in plain clothes politely asking for passports and thanking afterwards, what has to say must be boring for each and everyone passenger of 250 passengers. Well done practicing something that from 30th of October will be routine as the UK will leave EU and all passports will have to be checked, so dry run now on passengers from Ireland.  Anyhow all politeness done and dusted and now get on the Smog Express ahh mean Stansted Express towards the big city, passing the suburbs, villages, fields and generally the things were people come to when leave the central London as much as I like London it is one expensive city and three to four day stay is enough for my wallet and possibly for my soul too, since I prefer nature. Well today is culture day and I’m looking forward to it very much, theatre, musical, cinema, standup comedy ahhh the selection is good and great. Chu chu to Liverpool station and then around ! 😊 Here I am, London and Travelodge to drop off bag and hit the road aka walk towards the Globe Theatre for nice comedy of Midsummers Nights dream what is scheduled to start at 2pm so plenty of time to walk around in nice warm summer breeze from the Travelodge towards the Tower of London, London bridge and slowly at side of the river heading to Globe Theatre. What a joy to walk in nice warm weather, enjoying the big city, even if I am a country boy and prefer the nature, sometimes is nice to be in rush of the megacity and all those cultures, who like blender mix a great mixture of food, fashion and couples. Manage to get one great Italian coffee and cannoli at the same shop like last time and maybe from the same waiter “unless I experienced déjà vu”  and after some quick visit at Tate Metropolitan, where the exposition were the  same as last time, with some small changes I walked to Globe Theatre, got some food and took my red cushion for £ 2, before I have climbed to Middle tier of seats to sit down beside a one fine lady from New Orleans with her daughter who told me all about the New Orleans and music and parties before the start of the play and during the interval. I did not know that it was 2 in 1 deal as I have seen two comedies in Globe for price of one ticket, one was classic Shakespeare what I came to see, full of colors, singing, dancing and fun, what lasted four hours, so I was happy that I had got that cushion at the end for my bony ass. Second comedy lasted just about few seconds, maybe ,minute or two on the gents toilet where fella beside me in his tweed jacket, slacks and fancy shoes waited in the line and when stood up to the “job” and pull up a mobile in left hand and start scrolling, messaging during the “performance” 😊 that is to me classic modern comedy  of people who cannot live without the mobile at all, no matter where they are or what they are doing. I could imagine the fella “well middle aged guy, better said well-aged guy” during his other “performance” checking his mobile since it could be reflex that right hand on his willie, means left hand on mobile 😊 Anyhow the evening is still bright and warm so walking towards Piccadilly Circus to locate a shop selling five fingers Vibram shoes, what I would like to get since my old pair is nearly worn down and they are so comfortable to wear. After some running in circles I have located the shop, just to see the CLOSE CLEARANCE painted on the glass doors with mess of empty boxes and shelving behind those doors. So this is dead end and therefore I could go and try to get more culture into me tonight at Leicester Square looking at the display of ticket booth selling the discounted tickets of plays and musicals. After some deliberation I opted for the Mousetrap, no I did not went to hardware store get mousetrap but ticket for the play called Mousetrap at St Martin’s Theatre. Lots of nice culture for one day. Before I head off to theatre I have stopped for bite of sushi around the corner for dinner before the play will start, otherwise the mouse in my belly will be heard loud. All done and now is time to take a Hackney Hearse aka black cab, since all the times I was in London I wish to take ride in it and now they are electric, it is even more reasons to do it now. Couple minutes and £ 22 later I was in Travelodge after one fine culture day in London. Tomorrow is history day 😊 woo hoo.
